Denbigh Close

Denbigh Close, off Portobello Road, used to be called Denbigh Mews, according to the huge sign in the gable of the house at the end. It’s quite a narrow, cobbled mews and it contains about 20 small houses.

The houses are on two main storeys, consisting of a ground floor (mainly taken up with the garage door), then quite a low first floor, and then a second floor in the sides of the tiled roof and the gable ends.

Nos. 6-8 are more modern and luxurious-looking houses, but still making the most of the same fairly limited height as the original houses.
